The World is changing and with it everything we have ever learned about digital camera's. In America, bigger has always meant better, but is that really true?
I'd like to carry a large camera with me all the time but that's not possible. I want to always have a camera on me, because I want to live the life of a visual artist capturing life in every manner as I see and experience it. I also want to have great images but I fight with myself at time over having a point and shot or just having my large camera all the time. This has always been part of my inner fight, but maybe I've found the answer to my problems.
This article came out today in the New York Times and now I can't wait to get my hands on one of these new http://nyti.ms/cZrwe5 bodies to try out. Read it and let me know your thoughts.

I recently took my Minolta 7D with 50mm f/1.7 lens and my Panasonic Lumix LX-3 with me to Japan for 17 days. The 7D never left my bag. I produced the most amazing shots ever and created a whole new body of work. I absolutely love the ease of using a compact camera but wanted the best quality out of it. I think it's OK to use your DSLR for the studio and something like this Sony NEX for your portfolio. The Lumix brought me back in touch with my own vision and I believe this new format will truly work to do the same for others.
Hi Kyle,
It was a pleasure meeting you today at the book signing. I would love to see your images from your 17 day trip. It was great looking at your work online and seeing images in some of my favorite spots, especially the bamboo forest.
The compact cameras are fun to use and the quality has gotten much better, so I'm sure we will all see some amazing work in the very near future made from these camera's.
Stay in touch and speak soon,
Matthew Jordan Smith
